  • 50 pieces (500−520 g) dumplings with meat;
  • 4 pieces of onions;
  • 50 ml vegetable oil;
  • 90 grams of soft cheese (I used suluguni).

  • 70 grams of butter 72.5%;
  • 1 tbsp. level spoon of flour;
  • 0.5 teaspoons of turmeric;
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg;
  • 1.5 grams of fine salt;
  • 1.5 grams of ground black pepper.

Preparation


And so, first we’ll prepare the dumplings ourselves or we’ll run to the store and buy ready-made ones. When we already have them in stock, set the oven to 190 °C. We cut the halves of the peeled onions into feathers against the grain. Then, sauté in hot oil and place the prepared onion on the bottom of the glass dish in which we will bake the dumplings.

Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. As soon as the butter has become liquid, add flour to it and mix until completely combined. Then, you can pour in cold (!) cream and stir the sauce at the same time. At this stage, you can increase the heat a little, but you cannot stop stirring the sauce, otherwise lumps may appear. Cooking method:


After heating the oil (butter or sunflower), pour in the frozen dumplings and, stirring, fry for a couple of minutes until slightly golden. Then pour it into a bowl and let it cool a little. And add a little oil to the frying pan and fry the onions and carrots, as for soup.

First, sauté the chopped onion for 1-2 minutes, then add the carrots grated on a coarse grater and fry for another minute. Ready!

While the frying is being prepared, at the same time we will make a fragrant filling for the dumplings. Pour 4 glasses of water into the pan, put it on the fire, and when it boils, throw in the spices: salt, peppercorns, bay leaf and finely chopped herbs. Let it boil for a couple of minutes and turn it off.

Now we put the dumplings in the pots - about half full, so that they don’t run away when they start to expand.

And fill it with aromatic broth - so that the water does not reach the shoulders of the pot. Don't pour it to the top - it will run away. Therefore, just in case, it is better to place the pots not on a wire rack, but on a baking sheet. Even if the broth starts to pour out during boiling, the baking sheet will “catch” it.

If you pour in a little broth so that the dumplings are only lightly covered with it, you will have a second dish. And if you pour more - so that the dumplings float in the water - you will get something similar to dumpling soup in pots!

It is better to add sour cream later, when the dish is ready - otherwise, when baking, it may turn into cottage cheese.

Cover the pots with lids and place in a not very hot oven. Gradually raise the temperature to 200C and bake the dumplings in the oven for about 30-35 minutes.

You will need:

  • dumplings – 1 kg
  • butter - 100 g
  • sour cream - 100 g
  • mayonnaise - 100 g
  • cheese - 50−100 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Preparation:

Remove the dumplings from the freezer in advance and let them defrost a little, or use freshly molded dumplings to prepare this recipe, or boil frozen dumplings until half cooked and drain in a colander.

Place the butter in a baking dish, melt it in an oven heated to 180-200 degrees, place the dumplings in the form, stir so that the butter is evenly distributed over them.

  • Premium wheat flour - 3−4 cups
  • Minced pork and beef - 300−400 grams
  • Onion – 1 piece
